Gáldar International Film Festival 2026
Details
The countdown to being part of the Gáldar International Film Festival 2026 has already begun. FIC Gáldar is keeping the call for entries open for its 14th edition, an event that from October 10 to 17 will once again bring together talent, creativity and a passion for the seventh art in the north of Gran Canaria. Established as an official pre‑selection festival for the Goya Awards and, this year, also a qualifying festival for the Fugaz Awards, FIC Gáldar continues to grow as a showcase for filmmakers from inside and outside our borders. Under the slogan “Cinema and Sport: An Epic Dialogue”, this new edition will explore stories of effort, overcoming adversity, challenges and emotions—values that unite cinema and sport in a single narrative. The deadline for submissions is June 15, so you still have time to submit your short film or feature film. Submit your work through Festhome or FilmFreeway. More information at ficgaldar.es
