Nurturing the Artist Within – Closing Concert of the XIII Instrumental Pedagogy Workshop
Details
'Cultivate Your Inner Artist - nurturing the artist within' is the closing concert of the XIII Workshop on Instrumental Pedagogy and Group Dynamics of Barrios Orquestados, which puts the finishing touch to a week of training, shared living and growth through music. A celebration of talent, creativity and the transforming power of art under the motto "Cultivate Your Inner Artist". There are experiences that leave a mark far beyond what is learned in a classroom. The closing concert of the XIII Workshop on Instrumental Pedagogy and Group Dynamics of Barrios Orquestados is born precisely from one of them. After an intense week of training, coexistence and artistic exchange, scholarship students, teaching staff and guest artists share with the audience the result of a process in which music has been the meeting point to learn, grow and discover new forms of expression. Under the motto "Cultivate Your Inner Artist", this edition is committed to a holistic vision of musical education, understanding that artistic excellence only makes sense when it goes hand in hand with values such as listening, creativity, sensitivity and teamwork. The workshop has invited each participant to explore their artistic identity and to develop their full human and creative potential. Led on the executive side by José Brito and artistically by maestro Hong Anh Shapiro, director of the Violonissimo High Performance School in Geneva, the event brings together an outstanding team of national and international teachers and specialists made up of: violinists Hong Anh Shapiro and Nathaniel Shapiro, violist Misha Shapiro, cellist Kevin Santana, double bassist Ivy Wong, clarinettist Juan Manuel Alemán, saxophonist Néstor Rodríguez, flautist Texenen Deniz, yoga-for-music-professionals specialist Sonia Coray, Dalcroze Technique specialist Myriam López Troncoso, educator and social worker Graziano Pellegrino, and pianists Marina Feruglio, Noemí Salomón, Cristian Díaz, Francisco Espinel and Keyla Medina. For several days, the participants work in a demanding, inspiring and deeply enriching learning environment, where music becomes a tool for personal growth and social transformation. The result of this process comes to life in a unique concert, where each performance reflects not only the technical work carried out, but also the artistic and personal growth experienced throughout the week. A musical journey that invites the audience to discover the talent, sensitivity and passion of a new generation of musicians committed to art and social transformation.
