Countdown to the 5th Edition of the City of Arucas Rallysprint The competition debuts a new timed stage and will be held on August 28 and 29 Arucas, August 24, 2026. - The motor racing event lands in Arucas next Friday, August 28, and will run until Saturday 29. The competition, organized by FanMotor, features in its fifth edition a brand-new, never-before-used timed stage of more than seven kilometers, which will pass through the Los Chorros junction. Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25, the organizers will publish the official entry list. On Friday, August 27, from 4:00 p.m. onwards, the entrants have their first appointment at the Antonio Afonso Moreno “Tonono” sports area, where they will undergo the administrative and technical checks for the event. The competition will take place on Saturday, August 29, and will begin at 8:20 a.m. with the Santidad Alta – La Cruz stage, a stage with a route of 7.39 kilometers, which, from 12:15 p.m. onwards, the drivers will cover in the opposite direction, La Cruz – Santidad Alta. The rallysprint trophy ceremony will be held at the Antonio Afonso Moreno “Tonono” sports area. This will bring to a close one of the last three rounds of the regional calendar and the penultimate at the provincial level; therefore, the Arucas event is decisive for defining the titles of the 2026 season. The 5th City of Arucas Rallysprint has the institutional support of the Arucas City Council, the Sports Department of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the Government of the Canary Islands, and local and island-based businesses.
