Neurodivergent – Loewis González & Neuroband Concert
Details
The stage of the Santa Brígida Cultural Center will host, next Friday, September 18, at 8:00 p.m., the concert by Loewis González & Neuroband. Under the title "Neurodivergent", the project by the Gran Canarian artist, created in 2025 together with ARTENARA, will offer a live performance that fuses musical roots with a fresh and instrumentally rich sound. Loewis González, composer and modern singing teacher, will be accompanied by the full Neuroband lineup, made up of five musicians who contribute guitar, bass, drums and percussion, keyboards and brass. Together they will present a repertoire that moves between singer-songwriter music, pop fusion and contemporary acoustic sounds. The Santa Brígida City Council, through the Department of Social Services headed by Carlos Carrión, invites the public to enjoy compositions that address issues such as identity, human relationships, the protection of territory, both physical and social, and neurodiversity, a concept especially linked to González’s own perspective as an artist with Asperger’s syndrome. Pieces such as "La Leyenda de Gara y Jonay", "Fataga", "Pequeño Poema a Fuerteventura", "Cumbre Vieja" and "El Canario" reinterpret passages, geographies and realities of the Archipelago through a modern harmonic language that fuses pop-rock, jazz and singer-songwriter music.
