Perimenopause Health Day: Metabolism and Heart
Details
Peri-Menopause Health Conference · Hotel Livvo Lumm, LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA · 10 JULY Organised by Nayra Gómez and Gaby Almeida, CEOs of “Y tú, ¿no tienes calor?” 10 July from 18:00 to 20:00 In this CONFERENCE we will address the fact that during peri-menopause the internal rules change: insulin sensitivity, the role of muscle as a metabolic organ, the stress response (cortisol) and, in parallel, an often overlooked silent risk increases: cardiovascular health. This conference was created to offer a rigorous, up-to-date and practical space to understand what is happening inside and how to support it with sound criteria. Metabolism in perimenopause and menopause - Why the body responds differently from this stage onwards - Glucose/insulin, inflammation and cortisol: the triangle that tends to amplify symptoms - Energy, digestion, rest and body changes: how they are connected - Sustainable, evidence-based strategies (habits, nutrition, recovery and lifestyle) Cardiovascular risk and “invisible” cholesterol - Why the hormonal transition increases cardiovascular risk - The silent rise in cholesterol and other cardiometabolic markers - What to look at, when to act and which preventive measures make sense today - Keys to protecting the heart at this stage without alarmism, with clear information Led by Nayra Gómez.
