Interpretive Route: Degollada del Humo – Centro Locero
Details
Interpretive Route: Degollada del Humo - Pottery Center We Keep Walking! To mark October 15, the town councils of Tejeda, Valleseco, La Aldea de San Nicolás, and Artenara have designed interpretive routes that combine gentle hiking, heritage interpretation, oral memory, active participation, and collective reflection. In Artenara, the activity will focus on the traditional production of Canarian earthenware in Artenara, highlighting the role of women potters (loceras) in preserving a craft that is deeply linked to the land, clay, water, fire, and domestic life. The route will make it possible to connect the landscape of Artenara with the materials, the paths, the production sites, and the intergenerational transmission of knowledge that has long been sustained by women. Friday, August 21 From 8:00 to 12:00. Free activity subsidized by the Island Council (Cabildo) of Gran Canaria within the Strategic Framework for Equality Gran Canaria Infinita. Limited places
