Details

🎬✨ The program is ready! From October 10 to 17, FIC Gáldar 2026 offers a week to experience cinema from different perspectives: enjoying great stories on the big screen, learning from industry professionals, taking part in workshops, and discovering what happens behind a film. 🎥 Throughout the week, the Centro Cultural Guaires will host the screenings of the Official Sections and the retrospective “Cinema and Sport: An Epic Dialogue”, with a selection that spans different eras, genres, and ways of understanding the relationship between cinema and sport. All screenings will be free until full capacity is reached. 🎭 The festival also invites you to learn and experiment with activities such as a round table on professional and business opportunities in the audiovisual sector in Gran Canaria, the Cinedfest Short Film Creation Workshop, led by Roberto José Álvarez, and the workshop “From Gesture to Frame”, given by actor Antonio Pagudo, to discover how to communicate in front of the camera through gesture and body language. 🎬 And of course, Gáldar Rueda is back, the express short film competition that will turn our streets and locations into film sets. If you want to be part of the challenge, you can still register until October 12 and get ready to shoot your story in Gáldar. ✨ The grand finale will take place on Saturday, October 17 with the closing gala, a night to celebrate cinema and learn the winners of this 14th edition, featuring Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who will receive the Guayarmina de Honor, and Carlos Latre as master of ceremonies. A week to watch films, discover stories, learn, participate and come together around a screen. 🎟️ All screenings and activities are free until full capacity is reached. ➡️ Check the full program, schedules, films, workshops and all activities at ficgaldar.es
