Presentation: "If the Guanches Were Berbers, Who Were the Berbers?"
Details
📚📖ℹ️🇮🇨✒️📝 Renata Springer will present on Sunday, April 19 🗓️ at 12:00 p.m. ⏰ in the Montiano Placeres Tent, in the #plazadesanjuan, “If the Guanches were Berbers, who were the Berbers?”. The author, who has travelled across North Africa studying our past from the continent, offers the public her own collection of photographs of Berber paintings and engravings, through which we can interpret the life and historical evolution of this people: the desertification of their surroundings; the appearance of new human and animal groups previously unknown there (horses, camels…); the displays of power of the Libyan dynasties in Egypt… Added to this are images of their architectural works, such as those related to the Numidian royalty, and of course examples of Libyco-Berber script, whose references in the Canary Islands have been key to determining the origin of its population and which is still in use in territories of Amazigh culture. You can’t miss it! #gestel #teldecultura
