🎼 ‘Acis and Galatea’, Handel revisited on stage Teatro Pérez Galdós presents ‘Acis and Galatea’, the work by George Frideric Handel inspired by the classical myth that tells the story of the love between the nymph Galatea and the young Acis, cut short by the jealousy of the cyclops Polyphemus. In this staged proposal, directed by Bruno Berger Gorsky with set design by Carlos Santos, the story is brought into the present: the irruption of a former suitor at a wedding unleashes a tragedy that explores the fragility of happiness, the pain of loss, and the power of a love that endures beyond time.
