Details

The story of Leo&Leo began more than fifteen years ago, when Leo Sidran and Leonor Watling started a friendship marked by a recurring idea: to share a stage and record together someday. That moment has arrived, with the main stage of the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus as the place where audiences will be able to enjoy their work. That wish took shape in 2023, when their paths crossed again in Vitoria, initiating an artistic collaboration that would crystallize months later in a new album. Recorded in Madrid together with The Groovy French Band, the album brings together a selection of songs by Leo Sidran performed by Leonor Watling, as well as two previously unreleased compositions created especially for this project. The result is enriched by collaborations with Kevin Johansen, Jorge Drexler and Javi Peña, along with contributions from prominent New York musicians. Completed in 2025, the record reflects the rapport, sensitivity and shared journey of two artists who, after years of friendship, have finally found a common space for their music. Leonor Watling is one of the most renowned actresses on the Spanish scene, with an outstanding career in film, television and theatre. She has appeared in films such as Talk to Her, My Life Without Me and The Oxford Murders, as well as in series like La Templanza and Nasdrovia. Her versatility as a performer has consolidated her as a benchmark figure in Spanish culture. At the same time, she has developed a solid musical career as a singer and co‑founder of Marlango, a band created with Alejandro Pelayo in 2002. With a style that combines influences from jazz, pop and cabaret, the group has released several albums and has performed on stages across Spain and Latin America. Throughout her musical career, Watling has collaborated with artists such as Coque Malla, Jorge Drexler and Kevin Johansen. Leo Sidran is a musician, composer, producer and journalist. With more than two decades of experience, he has developed a career marked by the fusion of jazz, pop and folk, both in his personal projects and in his numerous international collaborations. As a producer, he has worked with artists such as Jorge Drexler and Alex Cuba, taking part in albums that have received major international awards. In addition to his work as a performer and composer, he is the creator of the podcast The Third Story, a reference space dedicated to conversations with leading creators in the musical and artistic fields. His work combines extensive experience as a producer with a constant creative search that has made him a singular figure on the contemporary music scene.
