Details
La Bajada del Tabique, a tradition that comes back to life during the festivities of Santa Rosa de Lima Grupo Arena, Orquesta Panamaribe and Línea DJ with DJ Chechu will provide music and rhythm starting at 21:00. The neighborhood of Lanzarote, in Valleseco, is getting ready to relive this Saturday, August 22, one of its most endearing traditions, full of symbolism: the 17th Bajada del Tabique, an event that keeps alive the memory of neighborhood solidarity in times of need and that, over the years, has become a tribute to the shared history of the municipality. Today, the Bajada del Tabique goes beyond its festive character to become an exercise in collective memory. The tradition recalls a time marked by effort and hardship, but also by the community’s capacity to help one another and to face needs through unity and solidarity. The day will begin at 17:00, with the start of the Bajada del Tabique from the heart of the neighborhood, accompanied by music from the Banda Guiniguada. The route will once again highlight the symbols and customs linked to this tradition, in a celebration in which neighborhood participation plays a leading role. The organizers encourage local residents to take part by carrying the traditional milk churns and pots of yesteryear, elements q
