Vamos Pal’Pino Seniors Excursion

Users of the Santa Brígida Municipal Seniors Club are reminded that on the coming 26 and 27 August the registration period will be open to take part in the special excursion “Vamos Pal’Pino”, which will take place on the 29th, a day designed to enjoy our traditions, music, the island’s landscapes and, above all, good company. The buses will depart at 8:00 a.m. from Llano de María Rivera, at 8:20 a.m. from La Atalaya and, afterwards, at 9:00 a.m. from the Municipal Seniors Club, on an excursion enlivened by the group Dulce Cacao. The route will take the group from Santa Brígida to Teror, where one of the central moments of the day will be experienced: the meeting with residents of the municipality who each year make the traditional pilgrimage on foot to the Villa Mariana. Afterwards, the excursion will continue towards Valleseco, before making a stop for lunch at the Restaurante Balcón de Zamora, in an area especially linked to the traditions and landscapes of the midlands of Gran Canaria. Lunch will cost 16 euros per person, to be paid by each participant. The day will continue in the afternoon in San Mateo, where participants will be able to enjoy a dance, putting the festive finishing touch to a day designed to combine tradition, neighbourly encounters and the enjoyment of the island’s music and gastronomy. Transport and insurance are covered by the Departments of Seniors and Social Services. Registration The activity is aimed primarily at members of the Municipal Seniors Club. If there are remaining places, these may be taken by the general public until capacity is reached. Registrations must be made in person on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 August, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., or until all places are filled.
