Fridays Crochet Club for Women
Details
When El Hilo del Juego started rolling, we didn’t know which streets it would travel, in whose hands it would end up, which fingers it would touch. And we want to tell you: after passing through Plaza de Argentina, some of the women from the association who took part became interested in the Thread and wanted to keep playing. We wove a network among us and agreed to set up a “Crochet Club” for women from the neighbourhood, to connect, to entangle, to talk, to gather, to build. And yesterday was the first meeting. And it was exciting to come together around something physical — threads and crocheting — but also something symbolic: the community that emerges from the encounter 🧶❤️ When we set El Hilo del Juego rolling, we foresaw that those threads would entangle us, that the ball of yarn would keep rolling and we feel that it has only just begun 😍 Thank you, María Emilia, for your enthusiasm and Ana Alonso for being with us. At this moment we have the following activities underway: 🧶Crochet Fridays: Fridays from 5 pm to 7 pm at the El Mirador de Altavista y Escaleritas Neighbourhood Association. 🧶Crochet Sundays: Sundays from 5 pm to 7 pm at the El Bermejal Neighbourhood Association (Marmolejo, Gáldar)
