4th Telde Film Festival: Canariedad

IV TELDE FILM FESTIVAL 2026 In this 4th edition, the artistic direction aims to highlight Canarian identity through cinema. It will be held from July 6 to 18, 2026. The main section, “Telde Shoots in 7 Days”, will take place from July 8 to 15, with its leitmotif revealed on the first day. This year, the festival increases its prize pool to 2,500 euros across a total of 14 awards, with notable new categories: “Memories of Telde”, “Social Perspectives”, “Documentary and Experimental Cinema” and “Best Young Short Film”. The programme is rounded out with training workshops on July 6 and 7, screenings on the 16th of the “Shorts from the Canaries” section (submissions now open) at the Municipal Theatre, the short film marathon on the 17th in San Juan, and the closing gala on the 18th. The gala will be hosted by actress Antonia San Juan and journalist Adolfo Rodríguez, with a musical performance by guest artist Julia Rodríguez, among other guests. All under the direction of the filmmaker, director and festival producer, Carlos Alberto Mejías. Thanks to the support of Telde City Council, through the Department of Culture, this festival continues to grow.
