👗 La Aldea merges fashion, nature and identity in the first edition of ENTRE PLATANERAS Fashion Show Gran Canaria La Aldea de San Nicolás will host next Saturday, 17 October, the first edition of ENTRE PLATANERAS Fashion Show Gran Canaria, an event that seeks to bring together fashion, nature and Canarian identity in a setting as representative of the municipality as its banana plantations. The initiative was created with the aim of showing that fashion goes beyond a conventional runway and can become a form of artistic and cultural expression linked to the land, traditions and history of the Canary Islands. ENTRE PLATANERAS aims to give visibility to the talent of designers, models and professionals in the sector and to showcase the cultural and scenic richness of La Aldea de San Nicolás and Gran Canaria. The mayor of La Aldea de San Nicolás and Councillor for the Primary Sector, Pedro Suárez, highlighted that “La Aldea has an agricultural landscape that is part of our identity and that can also become a stage for creativity and for promoting the municipality.” For her part, the Councillor for Local Development, Yara Cárdenes, stressed that “fashion goes far beyond a conventional runway.
