Since it was founded in 2022 in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, the comedy podcast Solo Palique has become a true benchmark of comedy in the Canary Islands. An improvised, cheeky chat, with guests, surprises, current affairs and much more. Solo Palique was born on August 10, 2022, in the Tenerife municipality of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, with a first live show attended by fifteen people. Soon, this group of island comedians managed to build a large audience that now exceeds fifty thousand followers across their different social media platforms. It is an improvised chat with a mischievous edge, special guests of honor, raffles, current topics and live music — “if you can call it that,” as its own members describe it. After 7 seasons, more than 100 episodes, countless guests, the odd bit of censorship, and a “sold out” sign every Wednesday in different cultural venues both inside and outside the archipelago, this podcast returns once again to Gran Canaria to turn everything upside down with a party that promises not to leave anyone indifferent.
