Culture in San Bartolomé de Tirajana closes this Friday the programme for the 132nd anniversary of the town with a theatrical tour and live music. The programme has brought together six cultural events aimed at highlighting the history, heritage and traditions of the municipality, bringing culture closer to local residents and helping to prepare the way for the upcoming Holy Jacobean Year. The calendar began on 1 October with the opening event "History of the Town of SBT", held at the Pancho Guerra Cultural Centre. On 3 October, "Paradise Symphonic" took place, performed by the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra, in the Plaza del Faro de Maspalomas. On the 9th, the Honours and Distinctions Gala San Bartolomé de Tirajana 2026 was held at the Maspalomas Cultural Centre, where the careers of ten people linked to the history and development of the municipality were recognised. The programme continued on 17 October with the Jacobean Year Route in Tunte, an activity that made it possible to discover the surroundings and local heritage, with a guided tour of the Las Tirajanas Winery and a musical performance by the group Último Trago. The initiative included transport to make it easier for attendees to take part. Now, Tunte is preparing for the final day of this programme, which will take place this Friday, 23 October. At 18:00 the theatrical tour "History of the Town of SBT" will begin through the historic centre, to discover its characters, stories and most emblematic corners. Then, at 19:00, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Tunte will host the concert by Ananda, The Violin Band, which will provide the musical touch to close the commemorative activities.
