El Rincón del Jazz at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus welcomes the Joscho Stephan Trio, one of the most outstanding ensembles in contemporary jazz manouche. Led by the virtuoso German guitarist Joscho Stephan, the trio has managed to renew the legacy of Django Reinhardt with its own style that incorporates influences from jazz, Latin music, pop, and classical music. Accompanied by Sven Jungbeck and Volker Kamp, Stephan offers a live performance of great technical quality and enormous communicative power, acclaimed on stages all over the world. Their collaborations with prominent international musicians and the success of their live recordings have established the trio as an essential reference within the genre. The Joscho Stephan Trio is considered one of the most outstanding ensembles on the international acoustic guitar scene. Formed by Joscho Stephan (guitar), Sven Jungbeck (guitar), and Volker Kamp (double bass), the group offers a contemporary vision of jazz manouche inspired by the legacy of Django Reinhardt, incorporating influences from jazz, Latin music, pop, and classical music. Recognized for their extraordinary performance quality and their ability to connect with diverse audiences, the trio combines reinterpretations of great classics with original compositions that push the boundaries of the genre. Their intense concert activity has led them to perform at prestigious festivals and concert halls across Europe and on other international stages, consolidating a solid artistic career. The group’s profile is also reflected in the success of their recordings and the enormous impact of their performances on digital platforms. Added to this are Joscho Stephan’s collaborations with prominent musicians such as Bireli Lagrène, Stochelo Rosenberg, Tommy Emmanuel, Daniel Hope, and John Jorgenson, which have helped place him among the most renowned guitarists of his generation. It is worth noting that he was the only European guitarist to take part in the prestigious "George Benson Camp", in which Al Di Meola, Steve Lukather, and Tommy Emmanuel also participated. Joscho Stephan also performed with Frank Vignola and John Jorgenson at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club in New York, where they gave a total of eight concerts, another milestone in his international career.
