🎭 La Aldea opts for theatre to commemorate the history of the Pleito de La Aldea The City Council of La Aldea de San Nicolás, through the Department of Culture headed by Víctor Juan Hernández, begins the countdown to one of the most eagerly awaited events in the commemorative programme for the Centenary of the End of the Pleito de La Aldea (1927-2027): the performance of a play that will bring to the stage more than three centuries of history, struggle and demands regarding the ownership of land and water. The performance will take place on September 3, at 8:30 p.m., at the Centro Municipal de Cultura, arousing great expectations among local residents. This stage proposal will bring the main events of this crucial conflict closer to the audience from a theatrical and accessible perspective, highlighting the efforts of generations of local inhabitants who carried out a feat that profoundly shaped the identity and future of the municipality, culminating in 1927. The Councillor for Culture, Víctor Juan Hernández Rodríguez, has highlighted the work behind this production, stressing that “we are facing a very special proposal within the Centenary programme, not only because of what it represents for our history but also because of the enormous effort and responsibility assumed by all the people who are part of the cast”.
