DiSAFÍO: Canarian Football for Inclusion

The town of Santa Brígida will become this coming Sunday, October 18, the epicentre of inclusive sport in the archipelago with the celebration of the event “DiSAFÍO: Canarian Football for Inclusion”. The event will take place at the facilities of the Los Olivos Municipal Stadium, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Disafío is born with the primary aim of promoting social inclusion, coexistence and the values of teamwork through the practice of football, highlighting the importance of adapted and inclusive sport in Canarian society. Throughout the morning, footballers, social organizations and fans will share a festive, healthy and inclusive space. The event has the support and institutional collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands, the UD Las Palmas Foundation and the Municipal Sports Company of Santa Brígida S.L., together with the backing of a strong network of clubs and social institutions from across the archipelago. Among the participating and collaborating entities are the COMPSI Association, APROSU, ADIVIA Fuerteventura, C.D. Genuine Gran Canaria, Asociación Social Creciendo, as well as historic local and island football clubs such as UD Telde, InterIsleta, UD Tamaraceite, Arucas C.F., C.D. San Mateo and Estrella C.F., among others. The organisers and collaborating institutions invite all residents of the town, as well as people from the rest of the island, to come to Los Olivos to enjoy a morning of sport, respect and community life.
