Javier Calequi is coming for the first time to Talleres Palermo, brought by Peor Para El Sol Bar, to give a concert with his own songs and many covers of all kinds, in what promises to be a very special evening created in collaboration by two venues – Peor and ours – where the intimacy of live performances is above everything else. Javier Calequi is an Argentine multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer based in Madrid. Before he began releasing the songs from his solo side, he gained experience sharing the stage with great artists, among whom Jorge Drexler stands out, who decided to make him part of his band on the Salvavidas de hielo (2017) tour: there they gave more than a hundred shows in different cities, plus a performance in the legendary Tiny Desk sessions series. After that, Calequi unfolded his musical ingenuity to give life to a project of his own authorship together with Guadalupe Álvarez Luchía called Dúo La Loba. With a versatile imprint that fuses a wide range of genres, the duo released two albums: El disco hermoso (2017) and Verbena (2019). The general paralysis caused by the pandemic changed the course of his career. In mid-2020, he formed Calequi y Las Panteras, and from then on he has been releasing amazing tracks and albums, demonstrating his stance as a modern troubadour and his thirst for movement.
