Table reservations now open for the Fiesta Canaria on August 8 in Plaza de la Constitución and surrounding areas An offering may be made to the Virgin of Las Nieves by associations, collectives, groups of friends or families who wish to do so at the beginning of the event, after prior communication to the Department of Festivities. Requirements for attendees • Traditional Canary Islands clothing is mandatory: All members seated at the table must attend dressed in traditional Canary Islands costume. • Failure to comply with this rule may result in the table being vacated. Table reservation • Must be done in advance, with the last day being August 6 at 1:00 p.m. • Neighborhood groups, associations, groups of friends, families, etc. may reserve a table. • Via a general application through the electronic office and at the general registry of the Town Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: • Full name of the applicant. • Number of diners. • Contact telephone number. Distribution and allocation • Tables are assigned in order of request. Rules during the event • The consumption of drinks in glass in Plaza de la Constitución and the surrounding streets is strictly prohibited. • Once the “baile de taifa” has finished, each table may have its own parranda group. • Cooking on site is not allowed; only prepared food may be brought. • Schedule for bringing in food and drinks: from 7:00 p.m. onwards. • Cleaning: those responsible for each table must collect their waste. Usual prohibitions • Attending without traditional costume. • Use of powerful loudspeakers or electric generators. • Sale of products without authorization. • Uncontrolled consumption of alcohol or actions that disturb public order.
