Purple Point - Santiago Major Festivities
Details
The 544th Major Festivities of Santiago will once again have Purple Points this July, spaces dedicated to prevention, care, and raising awareness about sexist aggression, reinforcing the commitment to celebrations free from gender-based violence. The Purple Point will be present during some of the most crowded events and will serve a double function: to offer support and activate care protocols in the event of an assault, in coordination with the State Security Forces and Corps, as well as to carry out informational and awareness-raising work aimed at all citizens. These spaces are funded by the State Pact against Gender Violence and are planned by the Department of Culture and Festivities of the Gáldar City Council, headed by the First Deputy Mayor Julio Mateo Castillo, and the Department for Equality between Women and Men, headed by Ana Teresa Mendoza Jiménez. galdar.es
