The Ministry of Primary Sector and Food Sovereignty of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, through the Agricultural Extension and Agricultural and Fisheries Development Service, is organizing the in-person course: F-13/26 – Handler of Plant Protection Products (Basic Level) Location: Agricultural Extension Agency of La Aldea Dates: From 21 to 25 September 2026 Schedule: From 16:00 to 21:00 (Monday to Friday) Exam: 28 September 2026 Registration open until 4 September 2026 Planned capacity: 25 participants Course objective: To train students to correctly handle and apply plant protection products, ensuring people’s safety, environmental protection, and compliance with current regulations. Main contents include: - Pest control and plant protection treatments. - Safe handling of plant protection products. - Occupational risk prevention and first aid. - Environmental protection. - Traceability and food hygiene. - Interpretation of labeling and safety data sheets. - Regulations, good practices, and practical application. Preference will be given, among others, to young farmers, professionals in the agricultural and livestock sector, staff involved in the sale of plant protection products, and supervisors of treatment crews.
