Flag Raising and Foam Party for Santa Teresita Festivities
Details
The flag-raising in El Hornillo de Agaete opens the festivities in honor of Santa Teresita. The flag in honor of Santa Teresita is already flying in the neighborhood of El Hornillo, which this afternoon kicked off the festivities together with residents from across the municipality. With emotion and devotion, the solemn ceremony of Presentation and Flag Raising brought together residents and visitors to accompany the protagonists of the day in this special moment: the boys and girls of El Hornillo. The town celebrated this afternoon with a program designed for all ages, which began at 5:30 p.m. with the energy of the youngest ones at the foam party. After the Presentation and Flag Raising ceremony, the day continues in El Hornillo with live music and the rhythm of the open-air dance led by the group Los Peques starting at 9:30 p.m. After this first day of celebration for local residents, the festivities of Santa Teresita will once again fill the streets of the neighborhood tomorrow, Sunday, on their main day, with the mass and procession of Santa Teresita. The statue will travel through the streets of El Hornillo accompanied by its entourage of parishioners, who will fill the neighborhood with emotion on a day that seeks to serve as a gathering for the residents of Agaete. The weekend will come to a close with music from the group Nueva Cantera in Plaza del Hornillo, on a day of tradition designed for the enjoyment of its residents and visitors.
