Guided Visit to "Cartografías líquidas" Exhibition

A guided tour will bring us closer to understanding the exhibition “Liquid Cartographies” Next Tuesday, September 22 at 6:00 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the group exhibition titled “Liquid Cartographies” at the Espacio Cultural La Mutua, featuring the artists Fátima Suleiman (printmaking), Juan González (photographer), Javier Camarasa (installation) and Esther Vega (painter). The exhibition opened on the 4th of this month and has been organized by the Department of Culture of the Arucas City Council, headed by the councillor in charge. Those who wish may attend without prior registration to listen live to the explanations of the painter Esther Vega, who will speak on behalf of the group. This is an opportunity to learn first-hand about the aims of this exhibition, as well as its techniques and anecdotes. Let us remember that this group show brings together the work of four visual artists around the phenomenon of migration, approached from an emotional and humanistic perspective that broadens the view towards the different stages of this harsh experience: departure, transit, displaced childhood, the reconstruction of identity, and the intimate relationship of the migrant body with the elements of nature. This is, without a doubt, a current issue that is present in society, and whose interpretation will help us better understand the reasons for this global situation thanks to artistic expression.
