1 Season opening ride to Castillo de Romeral 12 October 2026 by Queer Radeln Hamburg  Details We will meet on Sunday, 25 October 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Canary time in front of the HIPERDINO EXPRESS in the FARO 2 shopping centre. Please bring your own bicycles. Right next door is Lino, a very popular and inexpensive bike rental place in Maspalomas, with his Bike-Center. He also speaks German and really has the right bike for everyone. For longer rentals you can negotiate a special price. Before we bought our own bikes, we were regular customers there for decades. Length of the tour: approx. 50 kilometres Average speed: maximum 15 km/h Duration: up to 5 hours, depending on pace Route conditions: At the beginning cycle paths and side streets, from San Agustin onwards country roads with partly steep climbs. On the main road wearing a safety vest is mandatory. We hand them out free of charge. A food/drink stop is planned. However, we are not registered anywhere. E-bike recommended for all average cyclists. We set off, but we do not use the main roads such as the GC 500. Instead, we look for cycle paths and side streets to get to San Agustin. Then it goes uphill. However, it is not as bad as it looks and we reach Bahia Feliz (title photo). It is worth lingering on the quiet promenade, but we still want to continue. Then we have to go back onto the main road. Suddenly, a large airplane is standing by the roadside. We cycle past it and head towards the sea to Castillo de Romeral, where we would like to stop for a break. After the break we return to the Faro Maspalomas bus station.
