Los Gavilanes – Canary Islands Zarzuela Season
Details
🎭 ‘Los Gavilanes’ | 34th Canary Islands Zarzuela Season Love, power, money and desire flow through ‘Los Gavilanes’, one of the great works of the 20th‑century Spanish lyric repertoire. With music by Jacinto Guerrero and a libretto by José Ramos Martín, this zarzuela places the audience in a rural setting marked by the return of Juan, an “indiano” enriched in the Americas who comes back to his village, confronting nostalgia, loneliness and an impossible love. Through characters such as Rosaura, Gustavo and Adriana, the work presents a social portrait where self‑interest and convention clash with sincere love, while the music envelops the drama with some of the most renowned pages in the zarzuela genre. 🎟 Tickets now available on the official website. 📅 23 and 24 October 2026 – 8:00 p.m. 🌐 teatroperezgaldos.es
