Philosophical Gathering: Thinking About Love
Details
Balafía is growing and we want to celebrate it with you by getting together to chat in a new philosophical gathering. The topic we want to talk about is none other than love. Yes, we couldn’t think of anything more vast and vital than that. We feel like talking about that which almost everyone has experienced and yet we still find so hard to understand. How is love defined? What is its genealogy? Does a peasant from Tsarist Russia love in the same way as a construction worker from La Paterna today? And what do we do with the crisis it is going through in our times? Is “wine and cats” the worst thing that could happen to you? What about queer love? Can it be an alternative to heteropessimism? Is it dissident in itself? These are some of the questions we are putting on the table to discuss, conjure and insist on together. See you next September 13 at 5:00 p.m. in Sala Faro.
