The Círculo de Labradores de Montaña de Cardones celebrates its 97th anniversary with an extensive programme of activities With almost a century of history, it continues to be a social and cultural point of reference The Círculo de Labradores de Montaña de Cardones is commemorating its 97th anniversary with a full calendar of activities taking place in June, July and September, combining tradition, culture, sport, solidarity and music to bring together members and the general public. The programme includes a textile upcycling workshop, a Sim Racing championship, the awards ceremony for the social championships, a special summer charity bingo and an open-air dance with the duo Zarabanda, during which a weekend for two will be raffled among the attending members. The main event will take place on 25 July, with the 97th Anniversary Celebration, which will begin with a mass at the Parish of San Isidro Labrador in memory of the members who have passed away throughout the history of the organisation. Afterwards, there will be a tribute to those who have been members for 50 years, with the presentation of commemorative plaques, a performance by the folk group Agrupación Folclórica San Patricio and a toast enlivened by +Candela. The celebrations will conclude on 19 September with the great Summer Círculo party, an event to say farewell to the summer with performances by DJ Aguiar and the group 5bertura, as well as a food and drink area, raffles and a festive atmosphere open to all citizens.
