Philosophy for Kids: Can We Stop Thinking?

📚✨ Philosophy for Kids is back! We are starting a new term of our Philosophy for Boys and Girls project at the Saulo Torón Library 🏫, with some new features: this year we are expanding the age range of participation, from 7 to 12 years old, and our meetings will be on FRIDAY afternoons, ⏰ from 17:00 to 19:00. 🌱 And to begin this new course we will ask ourselves a question: 🌀 Is it possible not to think? What does it mean to think? Do we think all the time? Is thinking imagining, remembering, asking questions…? Can we stop thinking? In this first session we will explore what philosophy is and what it can be useful for, placing special emphasis on something that lies at the heart of philosophy: learning to ask ourselves questions. Questions that allow us to doubt, imagine, look for reasons, listen to other ideas and even change our own. Because doing philosophy is not only about finding answers, but also about learning to ask questions and to think with other people.
