31st GDGC: Red Eucalyptus Project

The first Green Drinks Gran Canaria of 2026 is here, where we will learn about the Red Eucalyptus Project. We will hold it at the Fundación Parque Científico Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (https://www.fpct.ulpgc.es/es/), which is collaborating with us as in previous editions. The Red Eucalyptus Project is promoted by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria together with the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Göttingen and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). It is a project that seeks both the industrial use of this wood and ecological restoration. The speaker will be Carlos Velázquez, Forest Engineer at the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and one of the authors of the book Red Eucalyptus Project (https://www.hawk.de/sites/default/files/2026-02/rz_redeucalyptus_spanisch_251218_72dpi.pdf). Be on time because we will be (or at least we will try). This will be the event programme: • 17:45: Arrival of attendees • 18:00: Presentation by Green Drinks Gran Canaria • 18:10: Talk "Red Eucalyptus Project" • 18:45: Networking over beers • 20:00: End of the event *** How to get to the 31st Green Drinks Gran Canaria We will hold it in the Polivalente III Building of the Fundación Parque Científico of ULPGC, which is located inside the Tafira Campus and next to the University Residence.
