Details

🎥 Do you have a story to tell? A camera and a huge desire to make films? The challenge starts now. Registration for Gáldar Rueda is now open! The Gáldar International Film Festival returns with a new edition of its express short film competition, Gáldar Rueda. Get ready for the challenge: creating a short film in just 70 hours, a chance for emerging filmmakers to put their creativity to the test, shoot, improvise, and show all their talent. 🥊 This year, under the slogan “Cinema and Sport: An Epic Dialogue”, Gáldar Rueda joins the tribute to the 40th anniversary of the premiere of ‘Rocky’, and as in every great fight, the real challenge will begin when you find out the leitmotif. It will be on Wednesday, October 14, at 12:00 p.m., at the Guaires Cultural Center, when the key idea on which you will have to build your story will be revealed. From that moment on, you will have until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 to shoot and submit your short film. 🏆 And this year, it also comes with the biggest prize pool in its history: 3,100 euros. 🥇 Best Short Film: Bronze Guayarmina + €1,500 🎬 “Bichillo” Best Short Film Award: €300 for the best short film directed by a filmmaker from Gáldar or a resident of Gáldar 📽️ Distribution Award: €1,000 🎓 Cinedfest Award for Best Student Short Film: Cinedfest equipment + €300 🎭 Awards for Best Actor and Best Actress 🎬 70 hours.
