La Aldea promotes the consumption of local primary-sector products through the Dinamiza Rural program The City Council of La Aldea de San Nicolás is encouraging its residents to consume and learn more about local products from the primary sector through a series of talks and workshops included in the Dinamiza Rural program, promoted by the Government of the Canary Islands in collaboration with Gestión del Medio Rural de Canarias. The aim is to strengthen the economic fabric of rural areas of the Archipelago with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants. Specifically, the project entitled “To the heart of La Aldea de San Nicolás, pantry of flavors: Testimony of the flavors of a village in defense of its products” will offer three workshops: “Tasting the healthy colors and flavors of my village”, “Healthy textures of the fruits of my land” and “Territory cooking workshop with my products”. The activities will take place from 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24 at the La Aldea Senior Center, on Friday, July 31 at the Labraaldea Neighborhood Association, and on Friday, August 7 at the Tasarte Multi-Purpose Building. The initiative is committed to sustainability, the promotion of local products, and the boosting of the primary sector as an engine of development, whose philosophy shares objectives with the project “La Aldea, pantry of flavors”, which recognizes the daily work of the men and women of the municipality’s primary sector and their ability to produce unique, distinctive, high-quality products. “Initiatives such as Dinamiza Rural provide a vital boost to highlighting the excellence of the products from our land and to supporting the tireless efforts of our female and male farmers and livestock breeders,” said the mayor, Pedro Suárez. https://laaldeasanicolas.es/la-aldea-de-san-nicolas-promueve-el-consumo-de-productos-locales-del-sector-primario-a-traves-del-programa-dinamiza-rural/
