INTERGENERATIONAL GATHERING “SHARED ROOTS” ❤️🇮🇨 The Department for Senior Citizens of the Vega de San Mateo Town Council, together with the Lidia García Canary Islands Foundation, is organizing the intergenerational gathering “Shared Roots: Pride in What Is Ours”, an initiative that brings together older people and children to share Canarian traditions, values, and knowledge through healthy and participatory activities. These events add to those already held as part of the 2nd Canary Islands Week of San Mateo. 📍 3 June Location: Upper Floor of the Seniors’ Club ⏰ Time: from 10:00 to 12:00 Participating: 3rd grade Primary School pupils from CEIP Rafael Gómez Santos. 📍 4 June Location: AAVV El Olvido, in La Solana ⏰ Time: from 10:00 to 12:00 Participating: pupils from CEIP La Solana. The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Senior Citizens, José Déniz, stresses that “these sessions aim to foster coexistence between generations, strengthen our cultural roots and highlight the experience and knowledge of older people as an essential part of our Canarian identity.” Organised by: Department for Senior Citizens of La Vega de San Mateo Town Council.
