The City Council of Gáldar, through the Department of Solidarity headed by Ana Teresa Mendoza Jiménez, is organizing next Wednesday, June 17, at 7:30 p.m., the solidarity gala “Gáldar with its Heart in Mozambique,” in collaboration with the Cañada Honda Neighborhood Association, which will be held at this neighborhood group’s headquarters. This initiative is part of the “Gáldar for Solidarity 2026” program and aims to raise funds to finance nursery and primary schools in rural villages in Mozambique. The funds raised will be managed by the association Madres Solidarias (Solidary Mothers) to support the educational projects promoted by Father Manolín Ramírez in the African country.
