Meaningful Conversations: Silence, Reflection and Introspection
Details
To join the Whatsapp community for this series of events: https://chat.whatsapp.com/ERneZCMrs17ABxb03jnsmv Hey, discover how to master your emotional intelligence with a thought-provoking and friendly approach. Join us for a modern-day version of an 18th-century salon. Engage in an evening of meaningful conversation without the usual small talk. A place to share personal stories and to learn from diverse ideas. Each time we pick a topic and frame the discussion around a few related questions. SILENCE, REFLECTION AND INTROSPECTION 🕯️🌊🐚 "Silence is not a lack of words, but a presence. It is the place where we touch our deepest truths." – Audre Lorde 1. Do you consider yourself an introspective person? How long can you sit in a room alone in complete silence before feeling uncomfortable? 2. In modern society, is silence seen as a luxury or as something to be feared? Do you think our generation has lost the ability to just "be" without constantly consuming information (media, music, podcasts)? 3. Is introspection always healthy, or can it cross the line into overthinking and emotional exhaustion? 4. Is it possible to truly know who you are without going through periods of deep introspection and stillness? 5. Is comfortable silence between two people the ultimate sign of intimacy, or can it sometimes mask a lack of connection? 6. When we are going through an important emotional process, is it better to seek reflection in solitude or comfort in community? 7. If you could describe the color, texture, or feeling of your internal silence right now, what would it be? How can we find a balance between self-reflection and outward engagement? Bring a jacket or sweater if it’s cold… Hope to see many of you there, welcome! FORMAT 18:00 - 18:10 - Welcome and introductory casual conversation 18:10 - 19:45 - Discussion guided by the event prompt questions 19:45 - 20:00 - We reassemble to sum up discussions and share thoughts or insights from the groups. 20:00 - End of event (or let's stay and keep chatting!) WHAT'S THE VIBE Diverse: it's not rare to have people from all continents, as well as people from different ages, religions, ideologies, and backgrounds. Vulnerable: we value real conversations, personal stories and experiences. Casual: some people are having tea, others wine, some listen more, others talk more, some are taking notes, others are fully absorbed in conversation. PRICES In-person events are organized for FREE. Of course, before participating I was under the impression that one must have read tons of books, possess a higher IQ or even be a quiz master, but frankly, those qualities are not the ethos of LQA. I personally learned that it’s about sharing, coming together with all sorts of knowledge and having a growth mindset to learn and hear other people’s perspectives. Overall, I would highly recommend joining LQA as it will broaden your horizons and it will enable you to share your world views on a larger scale with like-minded people." – Shah Karim, London | LQA premium member SEE YOU THERE
