The Santiago de los Caballeros Senior Club hosted a new informational session on safety and emergencies this Thursday, an initiative promoted by the Gáldar City Council to bring the operation of the Municipal Emergency Plan (PEMU) closer to the public and to foster a stronger culture of prevention and self‑protection. During the session, attendees were able to learn directly from sector professionals how to act in different risk situations, identify possible emergencies in the local environment, and become familiar with warning systems and basic response guidelines. The program, led by Cristian Perdomo, will continue on Thursday 18 at the El Labrador Neighbourhood Association in San Isidro and on Thursday 25 at the Estrella del Norte Senior Club in Sardina. All sessions will take place from 18:00 to 20:00.
