🥾 VI Guguy Trail Entrecorrales Tasartico: sport and nature go hand in hand this Saturday in La Aldea de San Nicolás The La Aldea de San Nicolás Town Council is putting the final touches on the preparations for the VI Guguy Trail Entrecorrales Tasartico 2026, taking place this Saturday, 13 June. The race, which is of medium-high difficulty, features two distances, both starting and finishing at the sports court in the neighbourhood of Tasartico. The short race, 11 kilometres long with 942 metres of elevation gain, will start at 9:00 a.m. with 113 registered runners. Its route will take in spots such as Casas del Lomito, the Barranco de la Hoya de Toledo, Caidero del Palo, Degollada de Gualopes, the slopes of Montaña de Almogarenes and Degollada de Acebuche, with the race scheduled to close at 11:30 a.m. The medium-distance race, meanwhile, will offer a demanding 25-kilometre course with 1,914 metres of elevation gain. Starting at 8:00 a.m. and with the participation of 46 runners, this distance will share its first section with the short race and then, after passing again through the sports court, will climb towards Degollada de Tasartico via Casas Risco Blanco, Casas Blancas, Casas Tejadas and Montaña Aslobas, with its cut-off time set for 1:30 p.m. "With the consolidation of the Guguy Trail we not only encourage sports practice and healthy lifestyles, but we also highlight our historical and ethnographic heritage by recovering the paths used by our shepherds," said the Councillor for Sports, Miguel Ulises Afonso.
