Collection of Aid from San Mateo for Venezuela The Senior Citizens' Club of La Vega de San Mateo and the Department of Solidarity of the Town Council of La Vega de San Mateo are joining forces to organize a solidarity collection of aid for the victims of the earthquakes in Venezuela. ONLY MEDICAL SUPPLIES ARE NEEDED After consulting with the expert organizations that will manage the shipment of this aid, no other type of donation will be collected, so clothing, food or any other material that is not specified below cannot be accepted. All items must be new, unopened, and may consist of: Gauze, bandages, adhesive tape, dressings, plasters, sanitary pads, support meshes, gloves, masks, hygiene and disinfection products, saline solution, alcohol, cotton wool, hydroalcoholic gel, syringes, blood pressure monitors, thermometers, medical scissors, and any type of medication with an expiration date of more than one year. Collection point: Senior Citizens' Club of La Vega de San Mateo. Dates: From Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10 Opening hours: • From 10:00 to 13:00. • From 17:30 to 21:30. All the aid collected will be delivered to the Unión Canario Venezolana de Gran Canaria, an organization that will ensure it reaches the Canarian and Venezuelan victims affected by the earthquakes, thanks also to the contribution of 5,000 euros made by the Department of Solidarity of the Town Council of La Vega de San Mateo to finance its transport. The deputy mayor and councillor for Solidarity, José Déniz, wished "to publicly thank the Senior Citizens' Club of La Vega de San Mateo for its complete willingness to organize and collaborate in this solidarity initiative.
