TELDE EXHIBITS UNTIL MAY 31 THE WORKS FROM THE 1ST CANARY ISLANDS DAY QUICK PAINTING CONTEST The artworks created for the 1st Canary Islands Day Quick Painting Contest will remain on public display until next May 31 at the Casas Consistoriales (Town Hall buildings). The exhibition brings together the pieces produced during the competition recently held in this emblematic space of the city, allowing visitors to appreciate different artistic interpretations inspired by Canary Islands heritage, landscapes, and identity. The jury awarded first prize to Sara Gutirreli, second prize to Roxana López Valenzuela, and third prize to Miguel Gutiérrez Cruz. It also granted a special mention to eight-year-old Sofía Jiménez Guillén, in recognition of her enthusiasm and artistic talent. The exhibition is part of the activities organized by the Department of Culture of Telde City Council, headed by Juan Martel, to mark the celebration of Canary Islands Day. The warm reception of this first edition and the artistic quality of the works presented consolidate this initiative as a new cultural proposal within the municipal program.
