Wine Tasting for Beginners — for those starting from scratch. Tonight is NOT about just enjoying a glass in hand and that’s it. It’s about learning. How to hold a glass. How to look at a wine. Why it smells the way it smells. Why a rosé is more or less intense in colour. What the visual, the olfactory and the gustatory phases are. Why sometimes a wine tastes like bread. Things you always wanted to ask and never dared. Ask as many questions as you like. That’s what the evening is about. You’ll leave knowing how to order a wine in a restaurant. Knowing how to tell if it has been aged in barrel. With the basics to taste any wine, anywhere.
