“Arucas and the Sea 2026” proposes a month of activities to discover and protect the coastline of our municipality The Environmental Department is organising a new edition of a programme that will once again turn the Arucas coastline into a space for learning, sport, outreach and environmental awareness from 9 to 27 September. The Environmental Department of the Arucas Town Council, headed by José María González Lorenzo, presents a new edition of Arucas and the Sea 2026, an established programme of activities that will take place from 9 to 27 September with the aim of bringing citizens closer to the natural wealth of the Arucas coastline and promoting respect for and conservation of the marine environment. Under the slogan “Environmental experiences and activities on the coast of Arucas”, this new edition will bring together an extensive schedule aimed at audiences of all ages, combining educational, sports, cultural and environmental awareness activities. For almost three weeks, the coast of Arucas will be the setting for numerous proposals designed to promote knowledge of the marine environment, the protection of biodiversity, sustainability and the responsible enjoyment of natural areas. As in previous years, Arucas and the Sea will feature the collaboration of numerous organisations, associations, companies and institutions committed to the conservation of the environment, whose involvement makes it possible to offer a varied, participatory and high-quality programme. The Environmental Department highlights that this initiative has become one of the main events on the municipality’s environmental calendar, promoting environmental education, citizen participation and the enhancement of the Arucas coastline as an area of great natural and scenic value. In the coming days, the full programme of activities will be announced, as well as the registration schedule and all the information needed to take part.
