The mayor and the head of the department have given the starting signal to a wide programme of activities with the inauguration of the “Altar de Muertos”, dedicated to the poets Federico García Lorca, Eugenio Padorno and Albertine de Orleans, as well as to the filmmaker and comic book artist Marjane Satrapi. Theatre, concerts, escape room challenges, audio fiction... will weave the programme until November 21, with one of the most eagerly awaited evenings being the Noche de Finaos on October 31, when the Great Announcing Cart of the Dead will tour the streets of the historic centre of Arucas from 9:00 p.m. onwards. Halloween, terror and oral tradition will shape the itinerary for the month of the departed in Arucas, which also takes into account those who enjoy jump scares, with proposals at the Municipal Cemetery of Arucas such as the audio fiction by the theatre company CR Escénica, “Susurros del Malpaís”, which will take place on October 30 at 8:00 p.m., and the show by David Batista, “Ecos de un hilo infinito”; or the haunted house, which from the Sociedad Atlántica invites you to share “El Último Sueño”, with several sessions on November 13, 14, 15, 19, 20 and 21. This is a programme that reaches all the neighbourhoods of Arucas and has the collaboration of the Asociación Cultural Salsipuedes, the Agrupación Folklórica y Cultural Rumantela, the Asociación CFP San Isidro Labrador, the Municipal Arts Schools, Labrantes de la Palabra, the Asociación Vecinal Dácil, 5 Comentarios and Comercios Arucas (COA).
