Salt, Pirates and Memory
Details
There are places that seem to keep time stored between their stones. Tenefé is one of them. On this walk we will wander among salt flats, sea stories, and traces of those who inhabited this territory long before us. We will talk about salt workers’ labour, piracy, ancient settlers and heritage, but above all, about the stories that still remain hidden in the landscape. A route for walking, listening, and looking at Tenefé with different eyes. Because history is not always in the books. Sometimes it is beneath our feet.
