Night of Rondas and Serenades
Details
🎶 La Aldea promotes the tradition of rondas and serenades during the Fiestas de San Nicolás de Tolentino 2026 The La Aldea de San Nicolás Town Council presented this Monday the Night of Rounds and Serenades, one of the proposals included in the programme for the Patron Saint Festivities of San Nicolás de Tolentino 2026, which will be held next Friday, 28 August, from 11:30 p.m., along different streets in the town centre together with Parranda Alisios. The Night of Rounds and Serenades will feature an official route through the historic centre of the municipality, starting and finishing at different points in the streets of the centre, with refreshment stops at the Municipal Cultural Centre and at the rear of the La Aldea Town Hall. The route will go along streets such as Calle Real, Calle Mariano de Cáceres, Calle Carmita Afonso and Calle Cervantes, following the itinerary established by the organisers. The proposal seeks for residents not to be merely spectators, but to participate actively in this celebration. To this end, the organisers encourage people to come willing to enjoy themselves, to join in the choruses and refrains, to accompany the musicians along the route and, especially, to beautify the event from their homes. Likewise, family members, friends and neighbours are invited to take part from their houses and, as far as possible, to make musical requests or dedications to the parranda. “We want to recover the spirit of the rondas and serenades as a way of sharing our music, our streets and our traditions,” said Mayor Pedro Suárez. For her part, the Councillor for Historical Heritage, Ingrid Navarro, stressed that “the rondas are part of a way of understanding culture and coexistence that we must continue to pass on to the new generations.” 🔗 https://laaldeasanicolas.es/la-aldea-de-san-nicolas-fomenta-la-tradicion-de-las-rondas-y-serenatas-durante-las-fiestas-de-san-nicolas-de-tolentino-2026/
