Canary Islands Youth Meeting in Agaete

Today we presented the actions of the Government of the Canary Islands to celebrate International Youth Day, next August 12, under the slogan “Now is your moment”. This year, the campaign focuses on real young people from the islands and on what they dream of, desire, and aspire to be. With it, we want to convey to them that they can achieve whatever they set out to do and that from the Canary Islands they can reach any part of the world. In addition, between August 12 and 14, Agaete will become the meeting point for Canarian youth. For three days, young people from all the islands will take part in workshops, enjoy musical performances, and debate the policies that affect them. The gathering will culminate in the drafting of a manifesto with concrete proposals. A space designed so that Canarian youth can have a voice, a place, and real opportunities to build the future they imagine.
