STAR ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES: ROQUE BENTAYGA, (Tejeda) Roque Bentayga is one of the most unique archaeological and landscape complexes in Gran Canaria. For the ancient Canarians, it was a temple and a living calendar. In a world guided by the sun and the stars, understanding the sky was vital for organizing the harvests and life on the island. This UNESCO World Heritage Site invites you to enjoy a unique experience: watching the sunrise from a sacred place, combining the magic of the landscape with the history of our ancestors. 📆Date: 22, 23 and 24 September 2026. 👉Registration from 9:00 a.m. on 14/09/2026 at: visitaspatrimonio.grancanaria.com -Limited places. Free activity, including transfers by coach. 🚶Walking route: 1.6 km round trip. 🕑Departure time of the coach: 6:30 a.m. from Fuente Luminosa. ❗Difficulty: medium-high. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility or vertigo. ◾Recommendations: it is necessary to bring water, sunscreen, a cap and suitable footwear for a mountain trail. ◾It is recommended to attend with appropriate clothing for the weather conditions in the area, bearing in mind that the activity takes place early in the morning.
