Reception of the Gáldar Corporation and offering from Santa María de Guía

Gáldar will experience this Saturday one of the most emotional and well-attended events of the 544th Major Festivities of Saint James with the traditional Pilgrimage Offering in honor of Santiago de los Caballeros. After the reception of the cart from the sister municipality of Santa María de Guía on the Paseo de los Guanartemes, residents, groups, and representatives from all the districts and neighborhoods will walk through the streets of the historic center to offer the patron saint the fruits of our land, as a display of faith, identity, and pride in our traditions. The day will continue with the institutional offering by the mayor, Teodoro Sosa Monzón, to Santiago de los Caballeros, followed by the traditional Baile de Taifa in the Plaza de Santiago, which will once again bring together thousands of people in an atmosphere of community spirit and Canarian identity. The music of DJ Promaster and Aythami DJ will provide the grand finale to an afternoon in which Gáldar will once again show that its festivities are a meeting point to celebrate our roots and keep alive the traditions that unite us.
