👵 The Department of Senior Clubs of the Gáldar City Council, headed by Antonio María Benítez Melián, is launching at the Estrella del Norte Senior Club in Sardina the initiative “Associations of Seniors, Platforms for Social Cohesion”, a project aimed at improving the quality of life of older people, preventing unwanted loneliness, and promoting their participation in the community. 🗓 The initiative includes fortnightly support sessions, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., which will begin next Thursday, October 8, and will run until December 31. These sessions will be aimed at users to facilitate their participation in events and sociocultural activities of interest. It will also offer support to senior associations in the search for useful resources and tools. 🤝 The project seeks to revitalize and strengthen the role of senior associations as spaces for meeting and participation, promoting active aging, the updating of their spaces, and their contribution to social cohesion within the framework of today’s care-based society. 👉 More information at galdar.es
